Pete's Prayer

In the chaos of yesterday's move,
Pete the goldfish was left behind.
He's coming with me to work this morning,
To travel UPS overnight to Arizona.

Lord,
Watch over Pete
(And his companion the snail)!
Let me package him well,
And find heat packages
For him to travel with!

You create out of joy,
And we revel in Your Creation.
Thank you for the laughs and joy
Pete has brought to us.

Keep him safe in the dark.
Being him to the light
Of an Arizona morning!
